I just got back from getting my tattoo done and I have a question for anyone who has gotten a tattoo and has self-harmed before.
You know the feeling you get after you cut where it burns but that feeling doesn't hurt? Well my tattoo feels like that right now I guess it could be because it did bleed. But the question is am I the only one that feels like it has the same after effect as cutting does?
If this should be in the self-injury section feel free to move it.

My old youth worker used to say that getting tattoos and piercings can be the same as self harm depending on your intentions. Like, don't go out and get a tattoo just to feel that feeling. It's a natural thing for your body to react that way...afterall, you did change your skin when you got that tattoo. Your body treats it like a wound.

Yeah I would never go out and get another tattoo just to feel the after effect infact I am never getting another tattoo ever it hurt way to much. I just wanted to know that I'm not crazy.
And I get what he was saying I have three piercings and one tattoo now.
