Where you get a tattoo is entirely up to you. It all depends on what you want, whether or not you want it to be seen, your pain tolerance, etc.

My pain tolerance is pretty high. I used to SH and get hit by guys all the time. I was going to get either a black rose with barbed wire around it or a heart with 'Live Love Laugh' in it with a vine of thorns. Maybe both.

Both those places can be hard to cover. You can't wear shorts if you get it on your ankle, not to mention, you can't even fix your socks, because then it will be exposed. And if your shirt rides up or your pants aren't fitting great, you'll end up showing your lower back, too.

Varies by person. I got my nose pierced and it was done so quick I didn't really realise it. Same applies for all my piercings. Yes they hurt for a second. And are sore after if you touch them. But it's not that bad.
