Help me pick my first tattoo? (:

Alright so, I'm turning 18 soon..finally! And my mom said I had to wait till I was old enough to sign for myself before I get a tattoo which means I want to get one after my birthday! I want it to mean something, and I found a few I like.. At first I wanted an angel flying up, breaking chains attached to her wrists and ankles and underneath say 'Set yourself free' and have the words doubt, hate, regret, and pain written into the chains. But I don't see my mom really approving of that..even though to be honest it doesn't matter what she thinks of it lol
So I have a few pictures of tattoos I'm thinking of..please let me know which one you think would be best! (: I want it on my shoulder. And no matter what I'm going to be having the words 'Set yourself free' somewhere with it aswell.. or something lol.

I really, really like the first and second one. I wanted to get the second one until my friend started thinking about getting it. Lol. Either way I think both are beautiful tattoos and it seems like you have a great purpose/meaning behind it.

Yeah, I'm really stuck between those two lol. (First and second) The first one seems to make more sense with the words 'set yourself free' but the second one is reaally pretty aha

Hmmmm... I agree! The first one does seem to fit more with the quote. So maybe you should go with the first one. & maybe you can ask the tattoo artist if it's possible for them to incorporate some part of the 2nd one into it.

Or, just save up after you get one, and get the other one later.

the first one fits with the quote MUCH better but I love the art and the design on the second one more.
But if youre getting the first one on your foot, id get it in the summer-time because you cant really wear socks or shoes for the month or so that its healing.

Love the second. But we shouldn't be the ones to choose!! Whatever you decide on, print out the picture and put it on your wall, or somewhere you'll see it every day, and make sure you're not sick of it after a few months.

I am leaning towards the second one, just because it does look a lot nicer to me than the first one. But I'm still not sure haha. I have a few more weeks to figure it out and then I want to book it once I come back from my vacation. I'll figure it out I guess! Lol

Second one is really pretty! But the quote suits the first one more! I'd say blend the 2, like make that bird house or whatever you call it in english (I really can't remember the english word for it right now xD ) and the birds coming out of it like in the 2nd. Basically replace it with that black blob in the 2nd one from where the birds are coming out.

I have actually written the words on top of the second picture, to see what it would look like. I actually think this will be my first tattoo, the font would be different though so that you can read it more clearly..
