I'm making this thread for two reasons. First, because she was sweet enough to make a birthday thread for me. Second, because I raised the possibility of this thread earlier and she tried to talk me out of it.
 So: to Fairy Poppins, who is practically perfect in every way. While I realise that birthdays might no longer be special at your advanced age, and you might want a quiet day knitting by the fire and complaining about young people and their lack of respect for their elders, pull up your rocking chair because you have no choice in the matter. I got you a cake:  And some cocktails, so you can look classy:  And this scary-looking paddle, for your birthday spanking:  Happy birthday, sweetie.
