This thread has been labeled as triggering, particularly on the subject of self harm, by the original poster or by a Moderator. The contents of this thread might therefore not be suitable for certain sensitive users. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.
There's this person who writes poetry and I end up writing a "response" poem it's not really a direct response but it is just something I think of on the spot after reading it, usually using a word or two from to jumpstart my own. This one is mine :P
(Note: I put trigger warning for SH because it kinda mentions it but it isn't graphic)
I learned a lesson from my foe
how to cherish my pinky toe
how to not pout or pick or peel
Just leave it alone, it'll heal, on it's own
Not to be punched or pinched or potched
It's had enough mishap in its life
It may not be much fun or in the mood to giggle
But it loves to waggle and to wiggle

I like this response! It is great when other writers are inspiration.
Do you ever get a little bit tired of life
Like you're not really happy but you don't wanna die
Like you're hanging by a thread but you gotta survive
'Cause you gotta survive

My spontaneous response to this spontaneous response poem is that you should write more of these. Also, I'm a sucker for alliteration so I think this is great.
If clarity's in death, then why won't this die?
Years of tearing down our banners, you and I
Living for the thrill of hitting you where it hurts Give me back my girlhood, it was mine first
