I wrote a thread a while ago regarding a period problem. This is worse.
I skipped the period pills in each pack for a few months. I started taking all of the pills regularly again in January. They were fairly normal periods. This past month, I've had like three periods. The first one was normal. The second one was barely a period, mainly some colored discharge but nothing I haven't seen before. The third one started Saturday, was normal, but it's still going strong a week later. I've been taking active pills now. Sometimes it's light like its ending, then randomly gets heavy. The cramps are horrendous. I've never had cramps this bad. If I get one standing up, I'm forced to sit down & curl into a ball.
I'm avoiding the doctor mainly because I need to switch doctors but also insurance reasons.
Think this is my body trying to readjust to taking all of the pills? I had this same problem about this time last year when I switched brands but that is not the case this time. I have no idea if it's close to ending or not.
Hate to say it, but you may need to see a doctor. This seems like an odd reaction if you've been taking your pills regularly since January. Did you switch brands inbetween now and then? Horrible cramps are rare with breakthrough bleeding (aka, the periods that happen when on the pill) anyway, so I'd recommend consider seeing a doctor.
