Vaginal dryness - August 11th 2021, 12:29 AM

I'm having a issue with vaginal dryness and it's not just the dryness I can't feel myself become 'excited' anymore. It's like my sex drive took a nose dive and then the vaginal dryness happened.

I am not sure if it's related to taking estrogen to prevent ovulation as it causes cysts. I was on estrogen before and didn't notice anything different. I don't know what changed.

Sex hurts like hell. It's like I am not aroused so nothing has stretched when it's supposed to, when sex happens... it just hurts. I feel like crying. I feel like this because nothing is working properly.

I used to smoke weed before sex which was an activity I did. Even I didn't do that it was fine for the most part. Weed did play a big part vs no weed. I have had sex without it and it was fine.

I have been tested and nothing. I should get tested again I doubt anything would change since I last got tested. I don't think it's an STI as I've been tested before and had issues. I feel clueless.

I don't know if I should start using over the counter female vaginal lubrications where I take every few days and do that, it's something I would need to do for a long time. I feel that is my problem. It'll be expensive to do that a month.

I don't know what to do. I want my vagina back.

I have heard that some people on estrogen may experience dryness, and sometimes there are medications they can go on to also help with the dryness, or other types of lubrication like you mentioned, although I understand that this can get expensive. If you're able to talk to your doctor this would be the first idea, because it may not mean you have an STI. Maybe also think of when it started, such as if it started right after you started estrogen or not. Is your dose different than last time, etc?

Is the pain during sex all from the dryness/lack of arousal? The reason I ask is because I have vaginismus so I also get pain if I try to penetrate. Some people are just born that way and some people experience trauma that can cause it to happen.

Or maybe you're kind of in a cycle now, where you're anxious about being dry/not aroused, which is causing the lack of arousal, which is causing the pain?

I did get some testing done. No STIs or yeast of any kind. I was hoping that something would show up and take an antibiotic so that it would clear.

I called my specialist and they got me in rather than having me wait for an actual appointment time in November, they fit me in. I don't know what to expect. I have been blowing off having sex now because it's been painful.

I've had cysts on my vagina. I self-treated them, I am scared I have some weird growth inside of me. I noticed after that time my vagina started to change; to think of it.
