For me it depends, for example if I was dating someone who's religion didn't permit them to date out of it, I would see it as a problem. Even if the datee didn't, I wouldn't want to wreck their relationship with their family.
If they were of a different religion, but it didn't create any problems, then I would be perfectly happy with it. It just depends on the situation I guess.

I hate to admit it, but I would only date somebody who is my religion, which is a lack of religion. I can't date religious people. My boyfriend is an atheist as am I, and it works out fine that way. No arguing, no preaching, we agree on religious topics.
