I can't change the colour of text in posts

I tried changing the text colour to red in one of my posts and it wouldn't change. I was using Firefox for Mac OS. I checked it on my iPad to see if it had changed on there and it was still the default colour.

It looks like it changed as I'm writing it, but once the post goes live it goes back to the default colour.

Could you do two things for me:

1) Check the text code. You can do this by clicking the top right button in the editor with two As, this will show markup which includes any code applied to the text. For coloured text this should include: text

2) Check your browser isn't overwriting font mark up. In Firefox this should be under "Settings", then "Language and Appearance"
