    Oh yeah! I forgot the Thanksgiving timing difference between the two countries.

    You guys seem to get a lot of holidays. The major vacations we get here are Summer, Diwali and Christmas. Other than that there are a lot of one day holidays to celebrate the various other festivals.

    Diwali basically means the festival of lights. It's when Lord Rama (from Ramayana) returned to Ayodhya after defeating Ravana the cruel ruler of Sri Lanka. It's a very pretty festival. We make sweets, buy new clothes and things, meet family members. It's considered a very auspicious event for new beginnings. It usually lasts for about a week but we get 3 weeks worth of holidays for it. Though in my case, the holidays are lasting for more than a month...lol.

    Me too. Though I am a bit obsessed with the American way of school because it is much better and flexible unlike ours. Right now pressure on us too as it is the last year of Junior College for me. But I am taking it as lightly as anyone can take. Lol.

    Doesn't Thanksgiving come like towards to end of October/ start of November? Are all festivals early this year. I know that ours are.

    Family get-togethers are so much fun. I especially like to see my cousins.

    Hmmm...there's nothing that I am planning on doing this vacation except enjoy Diwali and study because I'll be having real important exams coming Feb. What about you? When will your Thanksgiving vacations start?

    Hey Nat. Yeah It has been a while. :P I actually have been busy in college and work. but somehow I work in some pages to my book. Mostly just some fun little scenes as of late, but it works.
    Actually I have heard of nanowrimo. But I just have never had the balls to do it. -___- Maybe this year. I kinda do have a side project I have been working 0on that I might be able to bust out in a month. Why, looking for moral support? :P

    I'm doing well in school this year, considering I've been out of school for almost two years now. It's mainly 101 classes, so nothing to sweat about.

    And you? How are you doing? That's awesome to hear about you writing again. Sometimes it just take sa little break from your main project to jump back on the band wagon.
    And I'm about to drool on my keyboard right nopw so I will talk to you later :P

    Hectic sometimes is best, it keeps you busy and then you always feel accomplished

    Ah, roleplaying is basically games in the same format as Dungeons and Dragons, where we sit in a group, make a character that has mechanical and numbered aspects written on a 'character sheet' and the personality etc. that we play out, whilst one person sets the scene, does the narrative and plays all the background characters. It's actually a great load of fun, and very creative, especially if you're the one doing the narrative (the GM), you use the same sort of creativity as you would if you were writing. I mean, dungeons and dragons is just the most commonly heard of one. The one I'm running this coming year, Mage: The Ascension is about people who can basically change the world with their beliefs, and are fighting to bring the universe back to a state where magic can exist once more. Awesome stuff ^^;

    That actually sounds like alot of fun though, wishing you the best of luck with it. Thing is, if you're not sure, maybe talk your school's career's officer? He/She might be able to give you some advice for what to do with uni =).
    Hehe, I'm glad you like it =). I'm glad since that would make you the second person ever to like it enough to actually finish it ^^;

    Hehe, that does sound quite hectic. What is it you're hoping to do at university?
    I know how you feel with the writing though, I havn't really had time to write much these days myself. I don't start uni again until the 21st, but I have to get stuff for the roleplaying society organised before then, so yeah, that'll take a bit.
    What do you mean by 'for coffee house'? Sorry if I'm being ignorant here ^^;.
    And oh, thats cool, I'm glad you're finding it interesting enough to continue reading. What do you think of it so far?

    Hi everybody!
    My name is Nat and I'm working out where to go with my life. The gap between science and the arts is just a little too wide for me, so I think a bridge is in order =P
    I love making friends, listening to people, talking about just about anything, and spending time with my dog, Mocha.
    If you ever have any questions, send me a PM and I'll do my best to answer them ;)
    I hope you are having an amazing day.

    Heroes
    Before I used to say I'm still looking for my hero. Now I think I've found him. A lot of people look up to this guy because he founded a popular organization and all, but I honestly think he's the nicest, most inspirational, and best speaker I have ever had the honor to meet. So, to finally add him to this list, Jamie Tworkowski. Thanks for the message, the words, the smiles, the hug, and most of all the hope.

    The great artists of our time are the ones who created something timeless. But it was never them defining it that way.
