Well, I'm excited for something in particular I'm going to be doing, FINALLY. I'm getting more excited about it because the time is finally nearing, but it's irritating me because it's still a bit off in the future.

I've been with Jon 3 years now; for 2 years, there's one thing in particular we've discussed together, and we've always known we'd eventually get it done. The time just hadn't come yet, and now it's starting to near. We've always talked about getting a tattoo together. Just a small one, one we'd get done together. The Paopu fruit from Kingdom Hearts has always been a thing for us, and we just love the Kingdom Hearts series. And after sharing a real-life Paopu fruit with him, it really became a special thing for us. So, for years now we've known we would each get half a Paopu on our wrists. One on my left, one on his right, because I always have to hold his right hand. I don't know, it's a thing. That way whenever we hold hands, the two halves of the Paopu will come together and become whole. (Just for those that don't know, a Paopu should only be shared with the one you love like no other. the legend of the Paopu is: "If two people share one, their destinies become intertwined. They'll remain a part of each other's lives, no matter what.") Since we're engaged now, and we've been together so long, I decided to bring up the tattoo idea to him again last night.

I asked him if he'd be willing to get our tattoo done when he comes home for Christmas this year. He said he would really like to, but we have to wait longer. He explained that because he's in A-School and still under a student status, if he wanted to get a tattoo done, there would be a LOT of very annoying and difficult paperwork he'd have to go through. He said it would be a lot easier when he's in C-School, apparently it's different there I guess. I really don't know, but what I do know is from what he said, it looks like we won't be getting it done until after we're married. It actually might be better that way; I may be 21 and able to get a tattoo if I so choose, but I still live at home right now, and mom doesn't care for tattoos.

This is what a Paopu looks like; the color might be off, I found the idea for the tattoo online. It's supposed to be a nice golden-yellowish color. And ours will have 2 nice big leaves, also like a Paopu would usually have.

I think this is a cool idea. I like the design you two will be getting and I think it's cool that it has so much meaning behind it. I've never actually heard of this fruit before. I think I am gonna go google it.
