Lately, I have been feeling nausea every morning, but it goes away after 1 or 2 hours. Also for the past few days, my sleep schedule has been a bit messed up. I'm sleeping less than 6 hrs a day. Can these problems be interrelated?
Yes, they're very probably be related. You should tell it to your doctor.
Think: do you ate something strange? Generally it's because you ate something that you are food intolerant, like me with peaches.
Hi there, thanks for reaching out! While food could be a cause for why you're feeling the way you are, there are other reasons too! Are you going through something stressful? Something that is causing you more anxiety than usual? I know for me, if I'm feeling super anxious or am under great stress, it causes me to feel nauseous and disrupts my sleep schedule.
I'd keep track of it for a few more days before reaching out to your doctor. This could be an issue of something neurological, but you have no way of knowing unless you speak to your doctor and they can give you the appropriate diagnosis and a course of treatment.
Also, if it's anxiety and stress, I suggest reaching out to a mental health professional as well. If that's not something you're wanting to do, then reach out to a friend, trusted community member, or a parent for support.
Wishing you all the best! Feel free to reach out again if you need to.
I do get nauseous and feel sick when I haven't gotten enough sleep, so it's definitely possible that they are related.
I agree with the above poster about keeping track of what is happening. For example, you said it lasts about 1-2 hours and then goes away, and that it happens in the morning. Do you eat breakfast, and if not are you hungry? Is what you're eating for breakfast triggering nausea? Do you have any medications that you take in the morning? The reason I ask about medications is because when I first started a new medication I would get nauseous about 2 hours after taking it. Try to notice patterns like if you're doing certain activities before the nausea came on and how you slept the night before.
If you need to go to the doctor there are things that can be done. With permission you can take over the counter nausea medication, or the doctor can even prescribe you a nausea medication. I take a prescription one called Zofran. For some people, ginger helps such as chewing ginger candy or drinking ginger ale. A friend of mine sucks a peppermint candy. If you start throwing up Gatorade or Pedialyte can help replenish your electrolytes so you don't dehydrate. If the sleep becomes an issue moving forward there are also prescription or over the counter medications you can try for sleep, such as melatonin, with your doctor's approval. It could be temporary but definitely keep an eye on it.
Do you ever get a little bit tired of life
Like you're not really happy but you don't wanna die
Like you're hanging by a thread but you gotta survive
'Cause you gotta survive
Like other users, I also am the same. If I don't get enough sleep, I do feel nauseous.
Maybe your doctor will be able to help you with how you are feeling.
