I'm still trying to figure out where I fit in everything. The way I see religion is that whatever path you choose is the one that's right for you in this life. Whether you see it as one God or many gods, as long as you connect with the divine in some way that makes sense and feels right to you. I probably would say that I fall under the umbrella of pagan religions (and therefore polytheistic), though I'm not exactly sure where I fall there as I kind of feel like I'm mixing pantheons for some things (for example, I'll talk to Brighid for one thing and Kuan Yin for another). I do believe in past lives, spirit guides/guardian angels/totem animals, chakras and energy work (i.e. crystals), and general metaphysical things. It's taken me a really long time to figure all this out as religion in some form or another has always played a big part in my life. I started to explore other religions (including paganism) in middle school when I started to really realize that Catholicism just didn't sit right with me. Nothing against those that find it a fulfilling spirituality, but I just felt too distant. What I follow now just feels right. I meditate. I should more often, because everything makes more sense when I do. I know myself better, I feel closer to whoever is "up there" (though to me, it's more of an all around us kind of thing). I don't know, it's hard to really put into words. I'm still learning, still discovering, still figuring it out, but there you have it.

I'm Lutheran/Protestant, but I respect and really like some of the ideas of Taoism and other paths. I guess I bend some of the rules as to what Christians are supposed to think, but I still consider myself a Christian because of the major role God plays in my life.

I am Wiccan, but more of a Pagan-Wiccan than Wiccan-Wiccan. Okay, that doesn't make sense but I'm a Wiccan with Pagan beliefs. I'm eclectic in a lot of ways too, with influences from the Celtic and Gaelic religions, and druids.

For the record, I'm Jewish, but not sure how Torah-observant I'll end up being. I believe wholeheartedly in G-d, but am a little hesitant about how His laws are interpreted sometimes. We'll see once I'm out of boarding school and in the real world.
Also, I read in this poll that "agnostic" means "not sheep" in Latin. I wasn't sure if this was a joke or not. If it was, I'd chuckle a little, but in the interest of clearing that up so we're not spreading the hate (), I thought I'd give the Oxford English Dictionary Etymology:
Greek
a meaning "not" (that part was right on)
gnosis meaning investigation or knowledge, used by Christian writers to mean knowledge of higher/spiritual powers.
So agnostic meaning not pertaining to investigation or knowledge of higher spiritual powers. --Oxford English Dictionary

Atheist because I decided (this applies to myself only) that agnostic is just an indecisive excuse. So, I just took a side rather than trying to give me some leverage in the afterlife

I am an atheist. I don't parade it and I am open to other people having different beliefs, but this is what I believe and this is how I feel. I'm happy with it.

I was raised catholic, but since I became older I second guess everything of the religion and take nothing seriously in church. There may be a God and all that but going to this place for an hour, listen to old stories from a book, and then eat stale bread? Not seeing how it helps me...
Especially since I've taken a History class in college where my professor throws doubt into a lot of things of our religion. Please pm me about this because I have a lot more to say about the subject if you want to talk about it or listen.

Atheist high-fives all around, and to our agnostic comrades. :P Here's to People. Cheers!
The atoms that make up you and me were born in the hearts of suns many times greater than ours, and in time our atoms will once again reside amongst the stars. Life is but an idle dalliance of the cosmos, frail, and soon forgotten. We have been set adrift in an ocean whose tides we are only beginning to comprehend and with that maturity has come the realization that we are, at least for now, alone. In that loneliness, it falls to us to shine as brightly as the stars from which we came.

Christain, but as far as a church goes, I go, but Im not happyy....
How can one love themselves, when they love absolutely nothing?
Do something that is interesting. If it is not interesting, find out why it is not interesting.
I have no idea what to believe. I figure, I'll figure out when I do. No point in wasting life trying to figure out what happens after, when eventually you'll find out anyway.
I just try to be the best person I can be, so that I can feel good with myself.
That's exactly how I feel

I'm wierd..I just kinda made my own beliefs as I went along. Basically, the most powerful force in the universe is Applied Freewill. Anything is possible if you put your mind to it Also a big thing about who God/gods is/are, but thats not important. What's important is that you live life to the fullest, and help others along the way.
"One of the things I regret the most of being able to imagine anything,
is having to fear nothing"
"Realty is a lot more malleable then most people think.
They just refuse to believe that they can do anything about it."

but nonzero chance of doing the impossible,
what is stopping us from doing the same thing?"

Undecided.
I have my own standards and rules by how I want to live life. I'm still not sure if I believe in God, but I do believe that there is some type of higher power out there.
In my opinion, it's irrelevant whether you even believe in God or not. Whats more important is trying to live life to the fullest, respecting others...And you know, all the cliche good stuff.
I also consider myself spiritual, and I believe there is much more to life and death than we think.

I was raised Christian (Catholic mother, Presbyterian father, and I attended a Church of Ireland primary school...) but I became agnostic at about 13 or 14. I've always leaned slightly towards paganism or wicca, but at the moment I just don't feel like religion should be a big part of my life.
