I hope you two are happy.
I honestly hope you are.
I mean, c'mon! You're my best friend!
I don't want to break your heart!
But I still want to stay friends.
And we are, I'm not denying that.
We shared so many inside jokes,
And oh so many laughs.
We parted ways though,
And slowly drifted apart.
I knew it would happen one day,
But it damn near broke my heart.
Sure, we still talk,
But not like before.
You have met someone else now.
You have met her.
You two are perfect together.
A match made in heaven above.
I see you guys each and every day,
And you're always full of love.
I'm being honest here.
I think you're meant to be.
But all I'm trying to say is:
Don't forget about me.
We shared laughs too.
And jokes and times of fun.
The memories you have with her
Aren't the only ones.
I know you have new friends,
And new memories were made.
But don't forget about ours?
Got it? Mmmkay?
You're still my good friend,
And it will always be that way.
But when you make new memories and friends,
Don't push the old ones away.

I wrote this poem about a friend of mine. He has a new GF and other friends. It seems like we're drifting apart now. We used to be close, but not so much now. We are still friends though. And him and his GF are perfect for each other. Just to be clear I'm NOT jealous. I don't like him that way. He asked me out before, but I said no. But anyway, I am really happy for him and his GF, but I don't want him to forget the memories he made with me and the fun times we had.

I love this a lot and how it seems to be telling him the message. I agree, maybe you'd consider showing him?
Do you ever get a little bit tired of life
Like you're not really happy but you don't wanna die
Like you're hanging by a thread but you gotta survive
'Cause you gotta survive

I like this a lot! I can relate to the feelings expressed here. When your really good friend meets someone else it can feel as you're drifting apart... Remember that great friends are always in each other's hearts. He won't forget you.
I agree, showing him this poem could help. c: Show him how much you care about your friendship.
