Triggering: Voices. (poem)

[Symphony.]

Voices.
Whispering,
Mumbling,
Speakingshoutingscreaming,
They utter my name,
Surrounding me with a flick of their tongues.
I am a slave.
I put forth all my will.
I cry,
Hoping my sobs will be louder,
But the voices always overpower.
Crouched in the shower with the heat of the water pouring over me,
I bow my head,
I clutch it,
I wrung my hands and beg,
But nothing will make them stop.
