the day love changed -

and in a moment
love became redefined
from a desire and a dream
a hope and a comforting fantasy
to a wound that won’t close
with every word pouring salt into my flesh
even though i knew
my reality would never come to be
and i wanted this for you because you deserved it
somehow i’m still being choked
over and over again
and swallowed by the fact
That I’m not good enough
I was never good enough
And I will never be
Good enough
For anyone.
