Being pregnant - January 14th 2009, 02:39 PM

Ok today i was talking to couple of friends about being pregnant. They told me you can definantly have your period when pregnant and i know someone who did. My one friend told me that headaches, stomach pains, weird cravings and being unusaly lazy are some signs. So I am pretty shure i am. And I aint shure if I should mention it to th possible father.

Take a pregnancy test first. No point worrying him about you being pregnant when you may very well not be. Headaches, stomach pains, lazyness and cravings do not necessarily mean you're pregnant so take a test to be sure.

You could tell him that you THINK you are for emotional support though. But if you think he's just going to panic about it then take a test before you tell him, it's very possible that you wont need to mention it.

They are pretty accurate you know? If the test says you're pregnant you almost certainly are. If you follow the instructions correctly they are highly accurate. If it says you're not pregnant you should probably take another one and try again just to be sure as two false negatives are very rare, but again the results are generally accurate the first time.

Anyway, a test is far more reliable than guessing surely?

No amount of pregnancy symptoms will tell you that you are pregnant. And while one can have have bleeding during their pregnancy it is normally not a good sign.
The only way you can tell if you are pregnant is to take a test at home, or have one done by a doctor.

Alright, then there is not other advice we can give you. You have to take a test to know you are pregnant, if you will not do that, there is nothing else we can say to help you.

As Lizzie said, the only way to know whether or not you are pregnant is to take a pregnancy test. If you don't want to take an at-home test, go see your doctor and get a blood test done [5 days after you had sex]. If you don't want to do that, then there is nothing more we can say to you.
