Exclamation So.. I'm pregnant. Wks? Adoption? - May 28th 2010, 08:03 PM

I took two boxes of pregnancy test and every single one of them said pregnant almost instantly.

I have an appointment. to go in June 8th to see how far a long I am, but I would really like to know an estimate if that's in anyway possible, because I don't know who the father is and how far a long I am determines that.

I have headaches, I eat a ton, I pee a lot, smells make me sick, my shirts don't fit quite right, I've gained a bit of weight [Edited].. I never have a regular period so I can't tell there....
I mean, I'm either only 3months or 1months....

Also, depending on the father....
I'll either keep it or do adoption...

Does anyone have any advice if I DO decide to do adoption?

Either 3 months or 1 month? doesn't make sense.

Do you mean 3 weeks?

Anyways, there's no way to tell how far along you are unless you know your last missed period, even then it's just a guess. Your doctor will be able to give you a fairly accurate time line on how far along you are.

If you're thinking of adoption you should mention that at your first doctors visit so they can help get you into support groups right away and also get you set up with any info you need.

Only a doctor/ultrasound will be able to tell you if you haven't kept track of your last date of menstration.

If you're looking into adoption then support groups are incredibly helpful, pregnancy is an emotional time for a woman, there's lots of up's and downs so make sure you weigh your options of adoption out fully before you decide you want to give your baby up.

ok well if you do mean 3 months or 1 month (assuming you havent had a real period in 3 months) it sounds more like youd be 3 months. i dont think youd have so many symptoms after just one month

As Amy said, you should speak to your doctor about the possibility of giving the baby up for adoption.

If you do not want this baby carrying it to full term could be a very emotionally difficult thing to do - have you considered abortion?

This may be controversial but have you spoken to the baby's dad & told him you're pregnant? At least for the support he may be able to provide.

You should also try and tell your parents, especially if you are planning to carry to full term & then relinquish.

TBH It's different in every women, some women get symtptoms very early on in pregnancy and some get them later, so it really would be a guess, as to how far along you were, but if you go back from the last period you have then that is probably how far along you are.

there really is no way of determining who the father is just by how far along a doctor tells you you are. They are wrong sometimes, and the only way to be sure is to have a dna test done after the baby is born. I don't fully understand why it would matter who the father is if you want to give it up for adoption or not. A baby is a baby, and you're going to love it no matter who the daddy is. Just be careful with the choices you make. Be sure you wont regret them later in life when it's too late. If you need help with anything you can pm me.
