lmao well I haven't noticed
Hahaha sure they will, I know you're jamming to it right now. But I guess we could agree to disagree...
But what else is up, kyle?
shhh no one saw that...
haha thanks then, ... double x?
well kurt cobain wanted to leave nirvana because he wasn't happy with the music they were making anymore and that's the same with john lennon and the beatles so clearly Green Day has remained happy with what they're making enough to stay together... which means they've stayed true to themselves, and not sold out hahaaha
Yawn Rock Opera? What does that even mean lmao I don't understand :0 But if you're talking about the who album when you say quadrophenia I'm not going to lie and say I don't like it.
and the rolling stones produced absolute drivel from 1981 on, the only reason bands break up is for money, personal issues, and popularity ...so I think being around a lot means nothing.
oh no oh no...american idiot is just a yawn rock opera. i will take quadrophenia for a rock opera tyvm
I can't tell if you mean we're pretending be be friendly or we're pretending to be aggressive, but either way, ya it's good
... okay fine, maybe they have sold out a bit but a lot of great bands that start punk or indie end up going more mainstream after a bit. That doesn't mean their music is bad it just means to appeals to more people... and less to me haha. Even if Green Day has sold out a little bit, they're still a lot better than a lot of "mainstream" bands out there and it definitely doesn't mean they're talentless! Just the fact that they are able to adapt and change their style shows they've got talent. And I still think being around for such a long time shows they've got some skill, there are a lot of bands who are accessible but have broken up due to their producing of total shit
Anyways, I know you secretly jam out to American Idiot, come on
That is what I have to say haha what about you?
buuttttt, Green Day most certainly did sell out. After their 2000(?) album Warning, I know they were not as popular as they used to be. When they made American Idiot they sold song rights of the majority of them to commercial stations and they let themselves do all these promotional blah from companies. Also, American Idiot has some of the cheesiest and boring lyrics in history, but since they are anti-american, he gets away with it. And just be because theyve been around so long shows that they are accessible, not skillful.
oohh but he is
shhh I don't like to think of my music as pop it upsets me haha
naww his lyrics are awesome, they're sometimes simple but they're easy to relate to which is a talent in itself
and the fact that they've been around for so long without selling out or fading out proves that they've got skill
SO.
