Haha! You sound a lot like me. =) I'm not a very sociable person in the "real" world, but I'm the complete opposite in the "virtual" world.

Actually, that's not true... about the "real" world, that is. I'm great around people I've known for a long time, and I'm great around strangers. The problem is when those strangers become "acquaintances". They're not quite friends yet, so I can't trust them and feel perfectly at ease around them. With strangers, I feel comfortable, because I know I'll never see them again, so I don't feel the need to impress them. xD But it's that middle ground, where they're no longer strangers but not quite friends yet, that gets me. =P A slight social anxiety, I suppose... the fear of making myself look like an idiot around people who may or may not be important to me in the future.

I've had my share of family problems as well. Parents split when I was 13, divorced two years later. Dad promptly re-married a woman with bipolar disorder (in the process of divorcing her now... and yes, he's currently dating someone else). Mom was emotionally and verbally abusive, and I was forced to live with her for five years (Dad is in the military, so the courts deemed him inadequate for full custody, even though he made all the money in our household). My mom and I have patched up our relationship somewhat over the years, but we're still fundamentally different people. Dad... well, we are struggling, too, mainly because I think he has a HORRIBLE taste for women.

Where did you go off to? =O Anywhere exciting? =D

Haha, I peek at the birthdays most of the time but being out of town for a week I'm just getting back into routine. Not to mention adjusting to the new forum mod position.

And thank you! <3 That really does mean quite a bit, I'm glad to have a partner like you as well! It should be fun, and I'm really hoping we can help some people together In fact, I know we can!

As far as my life story, thank you for reading it, It's great to know I didn't type it for nothing :P I just... Well, obviously I've been a lot through my family. I guess I thought that since I have "experience" with many family issues, it could be a great way for me to use that "experience". And being a buddy just seemed fun, I LOVE meeting new people. Well, online anyway, I'm very very shy and antisocial in person, but, I'm working on it I guess it helps that I'm on the site a lot, too.

Aww, thank you! =) Don't worry about it... I NEVER look at the bottom of the TeenHelp forums, to see who's birthday it is. D= I really should start doing that from now on... I'm just so used to automatic notifications, like on Facebook. =P

I just read some of your responses in the forum, and they truly made my day. <3 I am so, so blessed to have such an awesome partner working with me in "Friends and Family"! =D

Speaking of which... what prompted you to become a buddy/forum mod? =O I read your long, long life story, but was there something in particular that pushed you toward helping others via a staff position? =)
