That's all so exciting though! For me, hmm. Four years ago I was in and out of hospitals, getting ECT, and just general not yay-ness. I'm now going on being stable for two years, I just started college, and I have the cutest nephew that's about to be one. General yay-ness these days.

And I just saw that we have in fact talked before. Dishonor on me for not viewing the conversation.

We have? That's my memory for you. Thank you! Oh my, so much has changed from four years ago. I'm much more stable mentally, to say the least. What has changed for you?

Hai Robin. We've never talked before, but you seem pretty awesome. And I'm bad at this. Kbye.

Yeah, I'm going to put it under N&D. I have some free time this week so I might be able to do an outline or a draft, but if not, I'll get to it after Christmas. I was also thinking of doing a quick how-to article about how to make a calm down jar - it's a really neat alternative. I made a thread on it a long time ago and I always want to recommend it to people so how does an article on that sound? I can include some pictures too.

You realize you're only giving me more of a reason to steal it right? You better run.

Things are alright on my end. Final exams this week. But after Wednesday it's a month off baby! So I plan to pretty much dedicate most of my time to TeenHelp! As for Christmas, I have very recently given my life to Christ so this year I'm especially excited! Probably going to hang out with church friends and such... But I am struggling a lot with my new faith. I noticed you're Christian under your about me?

How about I go ahead and steal that from you?
    Okay? Okay.

    About me
NOTE: I serve as a volunteer staff member on TeenHelp. The support and advice I offer falls under my role as a "non-professional." I cannot treat you as a client, meaning I cannot diagnose you or offer any "professional" services. I am happy to assist you in your search for a mental health professional, should TeenHelp prove to be inadequate for meeting your needs!

I apologize in advance for my tendency to post loooong responses for VMs, PMs, and forum posts. =P

I earned my Master's degree in clinical psychology in April 2013! I plan to become a marriage and family therapist in a few years, and have extensive research and peer counseling experience beginning at the age of 16 (I am now 25 years old). I am currently working with two non-profit agencies.

I have been in four relationships, and have learned a great deal from each one. The first was abusive in more ways than one; the second lasted for over four years (despite being long-distance); the third was a "rebound relationship" (which, of course, ended badly); the fourth has been absolutely amazing, and I married the love of my life in April 2014! <3 I truly believe that, with effective communication and a great deal of commitment, long-distance relationships can work under the right circumstances. I can honestly say I have experienced the best and worst aspects of relationships, and I hope I can use those experiences to help other members on TeenHelp. =)

I am currently a Project Advisor, the Volunteering Officer, a Disputes Committee member, and a Volunteering Committee member. I joined TeenHelp on June 11th, 2009, and became a HelpLINK Mentor on July 16th, 2009. I was promoted to Forum Moderator for "Relationships and Dating" on December 16th, 2009, "Friends and Family" on March 15th, 2010, "Mental Health" on July 29th, 2011, "Education and Careers" on May 17th, 2012, and "Rape and Abuse" on January 25th, 2014. In the past, I held the roles of Article Editor/Avatar Magazine Editor (Mind and Body), Social Networking Officer, Social Groups Moderator, and Operations and Procedures Committee member.

Feel free to send me a VM, PM, or e-mail anytime, about anything! I'm here to listen, not to judge.
