- I apologize in advance for my tendency to post loooong responses for VM's, PM's, forum posts, and HelpLINK tickets. =P
I will be a fourth-year psychology major in the fall (particularly interested in schizophrenia, adolescent psychology, and couples/family therapy). I have a part-time internships at the local hospital's schizophrenia research clinic, as well as many years of peer counseling experience, beginning at the age of 16 (I am now 21 years old).
I have been with my boyfriend for four years. It is a long-distance relationship (~130 miles), so it hasn't always been easy... but with good communication (and LOTS of time spent on the phone), we've made it work. My previous relationship was abusive in more ways than one, so I can honestly say that I have experienced the best and worst of both worlds.
I joined TeenHelp on June 11th, 2009, became a HelpLINK Mentor on July 16th, 2009, was promoted to Forum Moderator for "Relationships and Dating" (R&D) on December 16th, 2009, and "Friends and Family" (F&F) on March 15th, 2010. I am also a Sub-Editor (Mind and Body) for the Avatar Magazine, a member of the Operations and Procedures Committee (O&PC), and a member of the Social Networking Team (SNT).
