Of course! I think that happened so that they could grow, because George was always kind of background to Fred. I wonder how they're fairing without each other (assuming there is and after life for fictional characters).
I felt really bad for Remus and Tonks. Do you agree with me when I say that Remus was really in love with Sirius?
Awwww I know what you mean about Snape. Before that point I had gotten so used to the idea of him being the bad guy that I think I went into a state of shock. I was really upset about what happened to Fred. I cried over that, because Fred & George were always Fred & George. They were one entity, and then Fred dies and I'm like..."NO! There can't be one without the other!!!" I know Fred was never a major character, but I gained this weird attachment to him over the course of the books.
