- My name is Laura. I'm 17, and I came to TeenHelp for help with personal problems. I stayed for the community. You can find me lurking around the forums, offering my two cents in religious and political debates, and asking for help on those occasions when I need to.
I'm a boring nerd-- I like reading, writing, and watching movies.
My three favorite authors are J.K. Rowling (Yes, I am one of those people), Franz Kafka (three cheers for existentialism!), and Sylvia Plath (she's fascinating, even if she is crazy).
Math is the bane of my existence.
So that's me. If you need help with anything or just want to chat, send me a Private Message (or leave a message on my profile) and I'll try to get back to you as soon as I can! =]

-Cooking - Music
- I'm pretty eclectic when it comes to music, but I mainly listen to rock and all of it's sub-genres. Indie rock, punk rock, and *some* metal. Some of my favorite bands are: Green Day, The Killers, Arctic Monkeys, The Beatles, The Doors, Ok Go, Nirvana, The Offspring, Radiohead, and Rise Against.
- Movies
- -The Harry Potter series (Even though I hate the WB pretty much.)
-Driving Lessons (with Rupert Grint, yay!)
-The Bad Mother's Handbook
-Pan's Labyrinth
-Silence of the Lambs
-Night of the Living Dead (a true classic! xD)
-Beauty and the Beast (Yeah, it was my favorite as a little kid.) - Television
- House M.D., Gilmore Girls, Scrubs, Family Guy, The Office, and That 70's Show.
- Games
- The Sims, Pandemic 2, um....solitaire?
- Books
- Anything and everything by J.K. Rowling, The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka, White Oleander by Janet Fitch, Lord of the Flies by William Golding, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, Skellig by David Almond, House of the Scorpion (forgot who wrote it, but it's an awesome book.), The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath, and Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. I'm hopelessly addicted to the Twilight series, even though I'm a HUGE critic of it as well. The plot is unfocused, a ton of characters are flat, and yet I can't stop reading it. Damn you, Stephenie Meyer.
- Heroes
- J.K. Rowling, because she knew how to take pain and turn it into something beautiful.
- Favorite quotes
- "I think you have a moral responsibility when you've been given far more than you need, to do wise things with it and give intelligently." -J.K. Rowling
- Other interests
- Dreaming, debating, watching old horror movies, doodling, brainstorming, researching random things on the internet.

Signature
- "How dare I? Because it is the truth." -Jane Eyre
"You do what you love, and f#%* the rest." -Little Miss Sunshine

Also, seconding Hollifer's remark about Gilmore Girls.
