I know. Especially in macro mode. Some of the best pics I've taken are in that mode.

Digitals can be good as long as they have an optical zoom. Digital zoom just messes the pics up.

My first camera is a Nikon and it takes great pics even when you are really not concentrating, so I think that I would most probably go with Nikon. And the Canon D series, I think, is a really good one as well.

Any specific camera you have in your mind?
