July 1st is Canada's birthday. Lot of things going on this week in Victoria - ending with fireworks on Wednesday night. I have a great view of the fireworks from the roof of my apartment. And that's usually where I watch them from. But I might walk to the 'Inner Harbour' this time and watch them from the ground. It's only about 4 blocks away!! There is a bird nest just outside the door to the parking lot of my apartment. And when the momma bird is feeding her young - she becomes very protective and ATTACKS anyone who walks near the nest. She swoops down and flies about 1 foot [about 30 cm] from your face. And does this over and over again until you're no longer a threat. To be honest - she scares me. I mean - how do you protect yourself from a bird? [IF you don't want to hurt it] Stupid little bird!! lol The weather here is beautiful. Sunny and warm. How are things for you?
