I personally don't have a disability but I have dealt with many disabilities both metal and physical through family and friends.
One thing I have learnt is it good to talk about it and share. This thread will also help people find others with similar or the same disability. So go ahead What's your disability? |

I'm hard of hearing. It's possible I'll completely lose my hearing and it's possible that I won't. As of now I can hear most things, if there's not a lot of background noise. I can't hear quiet rains on the roof, but a hard rain I can. I have to ask people to repeat themselves sometimes but, again, it depends on how much noise there is around me. I have a constant ringing in my right ear and frequent ringing in my left. Overall it could be worse.
I've learned some sign language and kick butt at finger spelling in ASL, so that's cool. (=
And you know that, mother, I'd be lying, if I didn't tell you I'm afraid of dying. I told you to be patient I told you to be fine I told you to be balanced I told you to be kind |

I have learning disabilities. Also, vision impairment. I can't see without my glasses, and I have trouble seeing with them. I've been told that I could completely lose my sight before I'm 25 or I could not.Right now, it could go either way.

I have diabetes, which is considered a disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act. I don't see it as a disability but it's considered one, legally.

I was born blind in my left eye. I have AWFUL coordination and I bump into things a lot. I haven't really seen myself as having a disability, but schools etc always put me on their special needs register.
I also have a problem with fainting because of low blood pressure, which is far worse than the blindness anyday ... You can't move mountains by whispering at them. Take a look at my art here: http://attemptedart.tumblr.com/ |

I have LD which is a learning disability. I can only learn if it's visual learning. And everything I do, I find a pattern in it.

I have dyspraxia which seems to be getting worse as Im getting older. With that, it means I'm extreemley sensitive to light and sound, I have a tendency to be interested in things that would be considered for younger people and I have an extremely short attention span. My hand/eye co-ordination is not good at all, and well, my writing is pretty much illegible.

I have mild Epilepsy. I don't know whether it counts as a disability or not but it does stop me from doing a lot of things that others do. e.g learn to drive. and it means I can't become a pilot that I wanted. I'm also short sighted.

Physical. I've been a paraplegic (paralyzed from the waist down) for 17 years and I use a wheelchair.

Although I don't personally consider it a disability (for myself) I have dyslexia. I think I just see things a little differently and I enjoy my ability to see things a little backwards ^^. When I was in 3rd grade my mom told me I had been diagnosed with it and I cried because I thought it meant I was stupid. I haven't cried over it since and I do not think dyslexia makes you stupid at all.
Take good care <3. Lots of love <3 Mimi |

I have ADD, idk if that counts.
I also have something that makes me only remember little tid-bits of info, andnot stuff I actually need to learn. Like, I know that the ratio of the sides of the golden rectangle is .618, but it took me until 7th grade to learn multiplication. |

Anxiety disorder. Sucks. When it first hit me hardest, I had to stay out of school for two weeks because I broke down with physical symptoms like nausea whenever I tried to make it through half the day.

I don't even know what you would call my disorder, but basically I'm incapable of hand writing more than about one page or words. My hand cramps up and the pain is so great that I can't do anything at all with it, so whenever I write a letter or do a paper for school, it must be typed.

I too have dispraxia. Plus I wear glasses and have trouble with anxiety. Plus I have a cyst on my pituitary gland. Thank God it is not cancerous. The Pituitary Gland & Endocrine System Disorders: An Overview Once that is removed my doctor says I can control my dispraxia and anxiety easier.
P.M me anytime you need or want to talk to me. God Bless.
