What are the really early signs of an eating disorder and what should I look for later on?
I'm worried about my friend...

The signs of an eating disorder vary from person to person and just because someone might have the signs doesn't mean they are from an eating disorder. It's also possible for the signs to be different based on the type of eating disorder the person has.

I know a lot of people who are struggling with eating will:

Lie about having a big meal or not being hungry
Some will bring only healthy and low calorie snacks to eat at school or work
Some hide food
Some will move their food around to make it look like they are eating more

These aren't the only but it might be worth checking out National Eating Disorders Association as they have a ton of information and I believe they have some resources as well.

Best regards and I hope this helped.

Hey,
It's nice to know you are worried about a friend. There are a lot of different warning signs. Some of them can be really obvious and others not so much. Also you can have an eating disorder without showing warning signs, and the signs for eating disorders can also be signs to other problems as well.

HERE is a link of the NEDA website that has the warning signs.

But I will say this, if you do suspect she has an eating disorder and the signs point to it. I recommend that you not accuse her of having one but just let them know you are there for them if they ever want to talk.

I really hope this helps.
Your Friend,
Frankie<3
