How much is a doctor - December 29th 2010, 05:33 AM

Lets get something straight, I have no insurance!! I am wondering how much it takes for a doctor to look at my ear and see if there is something serious wrong with it, and the cost of medication for my ear

I dont know what itslike where you live, but where I am, you can go to an 'urgent care' facility that they have here, and they work with you on payment if you dont have insurance, so it doesnt set you back too much. You could also go to a local jobcenter/welfare facility and see what information they have for you.

If you go to a new doctor it will probably cost about $50 for him/her to see you and tell you wants wrong with your ear plus med.
Atleast here.

Here, walk in at an urgent care clinic is about $80, plus you probably need medication. That would depend on the brand and the amount you need.

It would depend on the doctor and med, however most doctors are willing to work out payment plans with you. This way that will take some of the stress off. Also, many times you can get meds that are not brand name, which are cheaper.
