My parakeets actually love to sing
They chirp along with music I play and its just adorable! And yeah, they perch on my hand, especially when I have food for them

Well they're actually really easy to take care of. They're pretty gentle too, it doesn't hurt when they bite or anything. If you want a companion, then definitely just get one. My two parakeets are attached to each other so its taking longer for them to warm up to me
They're really nice birds though, and fun to have They actually aren't all that noisy either which is always a plus! -
