I'm a 23-year old who's currently building a life that I want to enjoy for the long term. This blog is designed for young adults who seek guidance and clarity on the problems that life often throws at us. A Moment of Silence

At day or at night,
Do you ever find yourself
Looking up at the sky,
Wondering, pondering,
Or even remembering?
Sometimes I find myself
Looking up at the sky,
And a lot of times,
Reminiscing a lot of memories,
Both good and bad.
Do you ever think about
Everything you've been through,
Only to find yourself
So depressed
About who and what you lost?
Do you ever want to say
To the sky "Hello, hello
Anybody out there?
Cause I don't hear a sound."
Do you ever think about
People from your past,
And ponder the possibilities
Of what could've been?
When you look up at the sky,
Depending on what time of the day,
Your friend is either your shadow,
Or the moon high above,
Providing you your company
As you stand alone.
Sometimes, we have a tendency
To miss certain things about our past,
Whether it'd be a fun time we had,
Or whether it'd be someone
Who we cherished so much,
But they're now long gone...
We can play all those memories
In our head as numerous of times
As we want to,
But no matter how many times
We do that,
We can never go back
And relive that moment in time
Ever again.
Sometimes these memories
Can strengthen us,
But they can also consume us,
Making us feel so angry,
Or making us feel so depressed.
Regardless...
The sun will still shine bright,
And the moon will keep illuminating the sky.
You should move on...
Don't glue a bucket to your foot,
And carry it with you the rest of your life.
Instead, spend time living life to its fullest,
Interacting and creating new memories
With the ones that come and stay in your life.
We all have one chance in this life,
We're all responsible
For how this life turns out for us...
Let's not waste it.
