So nice of you to drop by, thank you so much for doing so! In case you don't happen to know who I am, my name is Mark. I'm a 23-year old who's currently building a life that I want to enjoy for the long term. This blog is designed for young adults who seek guidance and clarity on the problems that life often throws at us. What you will gain from reading my blog entries is the wisdom that I've learned along the way that has helped me create and live a better life. You can absolutely do the same. If you happen to read some of my oldest entries, you will notice how I've changed along the way compared to now.

I want to remind you that we all go through challenges and obstacles. We can't go back and change what happened. All we can do is our best at the end of the day and learn from experience so we don't end up repeating the same mistakes.

If you ever want to message me about anything, feel free to PM me and I will answer back as soon as possible.

Thanks so much for stopping by, have a great day wherever you are in whatever time zone you are in!

I know what you're thinking.

When you go through a setback
Such as losing a friend,
Breaking up with a significant other,
Or maybe you're having trouble
Going after what you want,
Going after your dreams.

You hear that cold, negative voice
Telling you that you can't have it,
That you can't do it,
That you're not meant
To do something big with your life,
That you'll never be good enough
For anyone in life.

That voice ain't going away.

No matter how many obstacles you overcome,
No matter how much money you gonna make,
No matter how successful you become,
That voice is always going to be there.

However, every day and every morning
You have a choice on which voice
You want to listen to.

You think that it's so hard,
That it's easier said than done,
And that certain people
That are able to overcome their fears,
That are able to overcome almost anything,
Most think that those "certain people"
Have some "godlike feature"
That the rest of us don't have.

That's bullshit.

That kind of power,
That kind of momentum,
It's inside ALL of us.

Most of us would just rather
Not choose to tap into that power.

But let's think about something different now,
And I want you to think about this.

Let's just say you keep letting your past
Haunt you for the rest of your life,
Let's just say that you do nothing,
You languish, you become a couch potato,
You don't choose to go after your dreams,
You buy into your fears,
You buy into EVERY single thing
That you're worried about.

Fast forward 10 years from now,
Fast forward 20 years from now,
Fast forwards 30 years from now,
And so on and so forth.

Your funeral's right around the corner,
And maybe 50 people, 100 people,
Maybe even a bit more than that show up.

These people are your friends,
Your family and people that love you.

So you'll be eulogized on the things
That you did with your life
When you were alive,
And what kind of person you were,
Remembered for one generation,
Maybe two generations,
And then forgotten after that.

If you sat there and did nothing
With your life because of fear
Or because of what happened in your past,
Would that be a life you want to live?

Would you want that to be
How your life ends up to be?

I don't know if that's the life
That you want to live,
But what I can tell you is
From what I've seen so far in life,
And what can be expected
Is that you'll have a lot of lonely times.

You'll have times where you feel like
The world doesn't give a shit about you.

You'll have times you're gonna doubt yourself.

You'll feel the need to cover up.

You can lie to your friends,
You can lie to your family,
You can lie to the rest of the world
All you want about why you failed,
Or maybe why you fell so deep into despair
Because of something or some things
Or even because of someone.

However, there is ONE person
That you can never lie to...
And that's the man in the mirror.

You can never lie to your own reflection.

If you choose to rot away in despair
Or you don't go after your dreams,
For the rest of your lifetime,
Your reflection is going to look back at you
And say "You let your life go to waste, and
You did not choose to go after your dreams."

And the saddest part about that...
You have to be okay with that.

Is that what you really want to happen?

If you're broken over something or someone,
Know that it's not the end of the world.

Whatever happened,
There is no going back
To the way things were.

There is only one thing to do:

To move forward.

To make a choice,
To seize the opportunity,
To better your life,
To value your time,
To go after what you really want,
To be who you are meant to be,
And more importantly,
To always be grateful,
And to always be happy.

We all have only got one shot at this life.

Why don't we make the most out of it?

So that when your time comes,
You'll be happy with what you did
With your life, and how you lived it.

I encourage you to make the right choice.

I trust you will.
