So nice of you to drop by, thank you so much for doing so! In case you don't happen to know who I am, my name is Mark. I'm a 23-year old who's currently building a life that I want to enjoy for the long term. This blog is designed for young adults who seek guidance and clarity on the problems that life often throws at us. What you will gain from reading my blog entries is the wisdom that I've learned along the way that has helped me create and live a better life. You can absolutely do the same. If you happen to read some of my oldest entries, you will notice how I've changed along the way compared to now.

I want to remind you that we all go through challenges and obstacles. We can't go back and change what happened. All we can do is our best at the end of the day and learn from experience so we don't end up repeating the same mistakes.

If you ever want to message me about anything, feel free to PM me and I will answer back as soon as possible.

Thanks so much for stopping by, have a great day wherever you are in whatever time zone you are in!

I understand how tough it must be for you,
losing the friend you were close with, or even
that romantic partner you were with.

Whatever was the reason why, regardless, I want
to share this with you, and although this might be a
message you don’t want to hear, I share this with you
because if you open your mind and hear me out, this
can be one of the most valuable lessons you’ll ever learn:

Don’t depend on someone wholeheartedly.

I know, I understand that it’s awesome when
you have someone that’s there for you, someone
that you can openly talk to about anything and everything,
even through your darkest moments in your life. Take
the time to recognize that, appreciate, and be
grateful. Express that gratitude to the other person.

However, if you’re always over-depending on
someone to keep you in line, to keep you from
“falling off the deep end,” it can be detrimental.

You’ll always be in need of your partner/friend
to fix you and your problems, but that’s your
responsibility that you have to deal with yourself.

If you get so attached to someone that you get
to the point “you can’t live without them,” chances
are you will be pushing yourself away if something happens.

I say this not to be negative, but to give you
clarity because it’s sad to see someone
waste so much of their time and energy
over something they don’t have a control over.

You aren’t in control of what events unfold for somebody,
even for the ones that are close to you.

Recognize you’re only in charge of yourself.

It’s okay to spend time with those that are close to you,
and enjoy every moment of it, but don’t get so high
off it that you end up stopping your life if something happens.

If you’re feeling sad right now that you just lost
a close friend or maybe you lost your romantic partner,
it’s okay to not be okay. Give your heart time to heal
and for it to accept what it already knows.

However, don’t stop your whole life for one person.

Don’t go looking for the next relationship straight away
as a way to fill in the holes from the last one.

Make it your responsibility to carry yourself
through all the heartache and the pain.

Because the truth is the people that are close
to you right now aren’t always going to be there for you.

Be your own hero and save your heart from the darkness.
