Surrounded by people
Yet I feel so alone
I love my friends
But they don’t understand
I don’t want to bury them with my burdens
Or inconvenience them with my thoughts
They would be scared by my demons
They all cannot understand the depth of my pain
So I keep my feelings inside me
Allowing them to fester
When I’m alone, I set them free
I can’t control them any longer

I really like this poem. It's short and effective and really shows your emotions well. My favourite part was the last couple of lines as I found them really relatable. I'm looking forward to reading some more of your writing if you'd like to share any.
