Exclamation Delayed period - April 4th 2016, 10:19 AM

So I lost my virginity last friday and my period was supposed to come that weekend. Its been a week and 3 days now and I still haven't got my period.

The thing is, I lost my virginity to him but we didn't have sex. He was in and out and it was done. There was blood and it hurt a lot so I knew I lost my virginity. There wasn't any sort of protection but none of us came. I don't know whats happening but my breasts are sore and I have been getting some cramps in the past few days like my period is about to come. I'm actually freaking out because I'm only 15 (I know, very young to do this. I do regret this). HELPPP

Re: Delayed period - April 4th 2016, 11:01 PM

You're probably only regretting it because you're scared. Having sex at 15 is young but it's not too young, like you're not 12-13 (which is definitely too young). You didn't do anything wrong, but of course don't do anything again until you are comfortable.

You're period being late probably isn't that big of a deal to be honest. Having sex and then stressing about it probably shocked your system and causing delays. Plus, 3 days isn't that much late even for the most regular person, especially when you are only 15 because periods can fluctuate when you're younger (or at any age really).

I've always thought that some people put waaaaay too much stock on the regularity of periods (not because it's you're fault but because some other authority figure didn't explain it right). What I've sort of learned is that it's mostly a range of days, like maybe you're period comes 27-30 days apart. It might average out to 27 days (the most common), but it might be totally normal for it to happen in 30 days (even if that comes up less). I think it would be a good idea to download a period tracking app like P Tracker - it's what I've used for years now and I've never felt the need to change because it's a simple app with everything I could possibly need but without unnecessary features. By using the app, you can learn more about the regularity of your cycle, including PMS symptoms

Re: Delayed period - April 5th 2016, 01:21 AM

But the thing is, I'm 11 days late now. My friends are suggesting me to get a pregnancy test but I don't want to because I don't want my mum finding out. Also we didn't use a condom but he was in and out and done. Like it took like 2 minutes tops and he didn't even stay in for a long time. He never "finished". He was just a fuckboy that wanted to take my virginity. HELP I am actually freaking out

Re: Delayed period - April 5th 2016, 01:44 AM

By last Friday do you mean the 1st of April or the 25th of March? I am trying to figure out how you are 11 days late on your period.

You need to wait until at least two weeks after conception to take a test. Getting a pregnancy test is very easy, you can buy one over the counter at a pharmacy or grocery store. They only take a couple of minutes. That is the only way to know if you are pregnant or not.

Re: Delayed period - April 5th 2016, 02:32 AM

I lost it on the 25th of March. Sorry I meant 9 days. My period is supposed to come on either the 28th or 29th of each month and I haven't got my period yet. I am really freaking out and I really don't know what to do
