well, her folks answered the house telephone, and said she was okay, but wouldn't tell me anything else at first, because they dont really know me.
but like, 20 minutes ago i rang again and they said she's in hospital.
so i dont know how okay she really is, but she's alive at least

    OMGOSH it was awesome.

So there was this wall. [You can see the pikatures in SCC.] We wanted to sit on the wall. These IGNORANT people wouldn't move off the corner of the wall and let us past them, so we're like... trying to find a different way on. Mind you, there are POKEY bushes in front of the wall. Like, ouch. So this one woman manages to scoot by the people on the edge without falling down the long drop on the other side of the wall, and gets to the middle of it. This is where it gets fun. She lays her blanket across the bushes, and with her feet, pressed them down. So her sister climbs over. Then I go. Then Brittney. And HAZZA! We're on the wall. And it's fricken' cold. And it's only 9:30 or some evil time like that. But it's soooooo cool because there are all these flags waving at the same time and you can hear them... it was awesome. And everyone (mostly) was just so happy. OH! But before that, on our miles walk there, there are these people with signs that say "WE ARE THE PRETZLE PEOPLE!" And they're handing out free bags of pretzles! Like, seriously! Needless to say we got some. wOOt. The pictures really don't do the crowds justice. Like. At all. There were SO many people. SOOOOOOOOOO MANY. And Brittney and I are going through the crowds with an iron grip on each other, so we don't get lost from one another. We'd have never found each other again. ;p It was so crazy, but so cool.

    Oh hai.

So I epic fail and "To-do" lists and resolutions and the like. Which is why I didn't do any New Years Resolutions this year.

See, an example is this: I had a list of things I hoped to accomplish in January of 2009, on my blog. I'm going to have to delete that blog, because creating an update on it would just be embarrassing. I didn't do ANY of it. Gosh, I'm spectacular.

On the plus side, I'm going to inauguration. And if by plus side I mean "I'm going to get trampled by a stamped of "angry" people" (and if by angry I mean people shocked and in love with the things they are witnessing, so shocked and in love that they become excessively passionate, which makes them appear angry) whose way I'm in, it might make sense.

To the innocent bystander, this is a big mistake. Poor life choices and all, you know? My family is just like "er, you're dumb." But the allure of being a part of history is... magnetic.

Yes, I just played poet on your wall. You'll live. Because really there is no point to all of this, except maybe to say that penguins are cool but you are cooler and if you don't mind, you could draw me a picture, please.

By the way, "ya diiiiiig," rhymes with Gidig, which makes you utterly cool. Cooler than me, actually. So if you could just mention now and then how awesome I am, maybe my cool points will start to rise. Maybe.

    That is all.

Totally have a "Write Love" day like I did. [: On their website, they have some really cool 50 packs of cards that say a part of Renee's story, so I bought 3 of those [it ended up costing lest than 10 bucks, pretty cool], and so, I went to my principal and told him all about TWLOHA [it was a wee bit awkward, not going to lie there], and got the "Write Love" day approved. Thankfully, he was all for it. He sent an email out to the teachers about it and asked them to pass it along to their students [one teacher even showed videos about TWLOHA to each of his classes on the day]. Also, he read the mission statement over the announcements every morning, told people why they were being asked to write love on their arms, and told them that if they had any questions, they could ask me or my friend Molly, another huge supporter of the movement. So, we had the day on the Wednesday before exam week - it was a much needed stress reliever. I hand made about 10 signs, and printed 30-40 fliers and had a guy put them up for me whilst learning what the movement was [what a guy!].. andddd then Tuesday night, I must've Facebook chatted 70 people with "I hope you plan on being really awesome and writing love on your arms tomorrow" -- so, I got a lot of questions about what it was then, and even more the next day -- I handed out the little cards religiously and overall, I'd say it was a huge success. I plan on having another day at the beginning of April but taking it a step further and organizing a little session about it A lunch, B lunch, C lunch, and D lunch where I would talk, I'd show a short video clip, and I'd have two very brief guest speakers to speak [one being a student at a nearby college who I've been speaking with about it, and the other being that one teacher who showed the videos - he had to resign a few weeks ago because of medical reasons, but he is very loved and he's very interested in helping this along however he can]. So, I'm hoping to do that. Then, next year, I'll leave it in the hands of Molly [who is a junior] to make it even bigger and hopefully develop some little sort of community based on TWLOHA. And of course, if I go to the local private college I'm planning on, I'll be here and there to help with that as well! =D

*breathes* Phew. That was long. xD

Also, note: This wasn't the national TWLOHA day - it was our school's own support day. =D

    About me
    I love...
Penguins. Girls. Guitar Hero. My laptop. My bed. My iPod. My therapist. The color purple. Tinkerbell. Cute pillowcases. Rainbow things. Ice cream.

My name's Maria, I'm 17, live in Colorado, and am a senior in high school.
I came to Teenhelp August 2006. Mostly because I was just depressed. Since then, I've seen a number of therapists, I was diagnosed with depression, in a mental hospital for four days, diagnosed with a mood disorder (basically bipolar), diagnosed ADHD, and now I'm doing better.

I'm homoflexible to put a name to it. I usually prefer girls, but I'm totally cool with anyone of any sexuality.

I'm liberal, and theres only a few things you won't find me have a very liberal view on, and I love debating. And seeing other points of view.

Feel free to drop me a PM any time, I love talking to people. You can also ask me for my msn, I'm on it a lot. I also have a LiveJournal and Facebook If you want to add me on any of them, just ask me!
