I mean, I can drive a manual, but since I'm in the city-ish I figured I'd go for an auto. Plus my left knee (as in, the one that operates the clutch) kind of suffers from an old sports injury, so doing too much gear changing and such makes it hurt. When I was practicing for my test I was in my mother's car, which is a manual with a glitchy clutch, and it was SO painful sometimes. I'm proud of myself for passing that test though. Actually, in a couple of months I get to go for my green Ps (I'm on my reds now), which is exciting... if you have any idea what I'm talking about.

EXACTLY. And there's always dodgy drivers and careless pedestrians and weirdly aggressive taxi drivers, and I'm such a cautious driver it's incredibly stressful. Ugh, don't even talk to me about roundabouts. They're the worst. I've never driven a four-lane one though, we mostly have two-lanes near me, so that sounds terrifying.

Well see, I wanted to buy my dog SOMETHING, so I was searching for dog hoodies and stuff on ebay, and it came up with a dinosaur hoodie. And it was adorable so I had to get it.

Okay, well this is a wolfhound and this is a giant Schnauzer, so that should give you some idea. I love big dogs too. And medium sized dogs. And all dogs actually. I mean I'm a sucker for gundogs in particular (spaniels, retrievers, that kind of thing) but there are just SO MANY dogs I want. Like, just give me all of them. And a pile of cats too.

    Aw, that's adorable and hilarious.

Ooh, that's cool. Let me know if you do get another hamster! Would you keep it with Alfonso or separate or? Also how'd the interview go (/what was it for)?

Well, true. Remind me to tell you the story of the McDonalds coffee debacle sometime, by the way. I say 'coffee' but I mean anything up to a cappuccino, usually. I don't really like black coffee or really strong stuff. It's funny though, I don't put sugar in my cappuccinos, but then I make my lattes as sugary and syrupy as possible. I think I've only had tirimasu maybe once? Can't really remember.

It was just... so gorgeous. And the ending. If you have a Steam account I would so recommend it. And also a game called Battle for Blood, which is what I've been playing today. It's weirdly addictive.

LOL oh my god I hate when that happens. Or I REALLY want to get to something because I've felt useless and then boop everything's taken care of.

    AND YES EXACTLY.

Okay but y'know you COULD just call her Theo anyway. Like for one thing you have a female hamster called Alfonso, and for another thing Theo could be short for Theodora which is a girl's name. (For some reason I keep typing Theor. What even is that.) Luckily I don't have that gear problem with Scout since he's an auto. Also a while ago I had to drive actually in the city for the first time ever, going a way I'd never been before AND I was on a time pressure, and I was so stressed. Then I had to drive my sister's car for a bit, and it has the turning circle of a bus, and it was so weird.

My dog did like her treats, which is understandable because they were edible. Also I used them to bribe her into wearing a dinosaur costume, which worked surprisingly well. Then the other day I took her to the dog park and there were two other dogs there, a Wolfhound x and a Giant Schnauzer, and my poor little heeler was terrified. She kept running back to me and hiding behind me and I was like "oh no darling look these are actually the sweetest dogs ever" and then she went and hid by the gate so I just patted the Schnauzer for a while. It's only the second time I've seen a Giant, actually; the other time was at a dog show earlier this year. Okay, enough about dogs. As my housemate very politely said last night ( ) I 'talk about animals incessantly' so I wouldn't want to be boring. Anyway. Has Alfonso noticed the tube or anything yet?

Sort of? I also actually lost my cup of coffee the other day. Twice. I kept trying to go sit places but then I'd get distracted and leave it somewhere and NOT BE ABLE TO FIND IT. I did not want to start my morning off with a cold cup of coffee.

Okay, okay, I see your point. But with me it's a fair bet I will assume it's Scooby Doo.

On another note, because I want to tell SOMEONE, the other day I played a free game on Steam called 'The Plan' and it messed me up something awful. Like after I finished I just kind of sat there like "what" and kind of reevaluated my place in the universe. It was weird.

Oh my god I hate when that happens. Sometimes I have to use my desktop computer instead of my laptop and that happens to me. It makes me want to give up, aha.

OH MY GOD I'VE DONE THAT. Even as a PA there have still been times where I've neglected sleeping and stayed up til like midnight just to do a HL ticket once the stats change.

I do it on my phone too so it's so hard sometimes. BUT I hate letting things sit sometimes and when I get into my DO ALL THE THINGS mode I have to do them, aha.

    YOU ARE AMAZING TOO.

Yeah, wasn't your car called like Theo or something? My car's kind of gender fluid. When I'm talking to said car I call her 'Scout girl' and refer to her as female, but when I'm talking to friends I tend to say 'he'. So I think Scout is whatever gender s/he wants to be.

Ooh, that sounds like an exciting opportunity. Good luck, and let me know how it goes! Eh, it's fine. Actually, on a slightly related note, I pick my dog up from the boarding kennels tomorrow so today I bought her a present, and it's a cute little bucket of chicken that's called "K9FC" and yes I did just get it for the pun.

Oh good lord. I thought I was spaced out, but I think you may win. I would probably win at being clumsy though, because I have been SO bad lately. Today I've dropped a remote control, three books, my phone, almost my computer (the day I got it back from the shop, no less), and my wallet. Sigh. Also, nice Scooby Doo reference (although I wonder why you felt like you had to clarify that that's where it's from. Like, I KNOW who Shaggy is, dude. Give me some credit).

Short blog from the most appalling excuse for a staff member.

Hello!

Long time, no see. Something that is entirely my own fault for getting too overwhelmed with everything being so busy and pushing TeenHelp to the bottom of my priorities with the intention of 'dealing with it later'. Except later didn't get the chance to happen. With things changing a lot at work and university being so time consuming and challenging now, I've spent most of what time I have left in...

It’s today! In half an hour I’m heading to my rheumatology appointment. I’m trying not to get my hopes up. I keep telling myself that they’ll just tell me nothing is wrong. Even though I feel like this pain isn’t normal. The physiotherapist gave up. She was obviously relieved when I told her I had a rheumatology appointment because I didn’t have to be her problem anymore. She did her usual thing of pressing on my back, which did nothing but make me jump away from her hands and try not to yell out...

The past few weeks have been a nightmare. Not completely, there have been good points and it's not like I'm miserable or anything. But dear spaghetti they've been stressful. I worry about everything anyway, that's just me. But this time it was things I couldn't talk myself down from because they WERE worth worrying over.

Work got stupidly stressful when I was landed with a task that was started so badly by the other person that it took me two days to fix. It was a simple mailout to...

I haven't done a lot of TeenHelping for a while. Hands up, I've been awful on the Staffie front. At first it was revision for my exam, then it was celebrating my freedom and watching Netflix without feeling guilty. Crazy, right?

Unfortunately then I went to a physiotherapy appointment. I'm not sure what he did to my back, it really hurt while he was doing it but he said it would help. Ever since that appointment the pain has been way worse. Any longer than about 20 minutes sitting...

At last. No more revision, no more worrying, no more panicking and freaking out and stressing about forgetting things.
My exam was yesterday and, on balance, it wasn't too terrible. I was able to answer the terms with ease, and the two essays that came up were the ones that I had less detail prepared for but I managed to ramble on for 3-5 pages for each one so hopefully there's enough information there to get me some marks!

I had booked a doctor's appointment before the exam...
