So nice of you to drop by, thank you so much for doing so! In case you don't happen to know who I am, my name is Mark. I'm a 23-year old who's currently building a life that I want to enjoy for the long term. This blog is designed for young adults who seek guidance and clarity on the problems that life often throws at us. What you will gain from reading my blog entries is the wisdom that I've learned along the way that has helped me create and live a better life. You can absolutely do the same. If you happen to read some of my oldest entries, you will notice how I've changed along the way compared to now.

I want to remind you that we all go through challenges and obstacles. We can't go back and change what happened. All we can do is our best at the end of the day and learn from experience so we don't end up repeating the same mistakes.

If you ever want to message me about anything, feel free to PM me and I will answer back as soon as possible.

Thanks so much for stopping by, have a great day wherever you are in whatever time zone you are in!

Well, I'll consider this entry my first official one since the previous one is just a quote I made myself based on what I've been through all these years. My name is Mark, and I'm a 17-year-old guy whose about to turn 18 in less than four months. So, for those of you who I've had conversations with and for those who've just been looking at my profile, I'll tell you right now that I am the type of person that has a positive outlook on life, always makes the best out of his days no matter how hard the day might seem, and has the capacity to keep his faith in things and believe that all the things that he's wanted to accomplish will happen one day. I just have to keep working my way up and never give up.

Some of you might be wondering if I've always been like this. To be honest, I haven't always been up until one experience changed me forever.

It was an experience that I went through during the beginning of junior year in high school. I was a bit nervous like usual on the first day of school because you never know what you're going to expect. When I got to AP US History class, I noticed a girl sitting right behind me. I had never seen her before around school. I was nervous about approaching her as I didn't want to make a fool out of myself. At the time, that was always my issue with girls: making a good first impression. However, I realized that I needed to give it a try, even if it meant getting ignored right on the spot.

So, I said hi and introduced myself. She acknowledged and told me her name (I won't give you her actual first name, but we'll just call her Anne as that's a nickname I've wanted to give to her). After introducing ourselves, Anne told me she had recently moved here, and she had trouble finding her classes. When class was over, I showed her around the school and helped find the classes that she needed to go to. While we were doing that, I struck up a conversation with her. We talked, and I actually found it quite enjoyable. She was really nice, and beautiful. At that moment, a feeling sparked within me: I actually had a crush on her. After the bell rang to go to the next class, I asked her if she wanted to hang out at lunch. She responded optimistically and said yes. As we said goodbye to one another, I told her "Welcome to the school and the city! I hope you have a great time here!". She smiled and said thanks. While I was heading to my next class, I was feeling more happier than usual. I felt that this was the day that things started to change. That this was the day that I experienced true happiness at last. Although, it turned out too good to be true... (Continued in part II)
