I'm a 23-year old who's currently building a life that I want to enjoy for the long term. This blog is designed for young adults who seek guidance and clarity on the problems that life often throws at us. What you will gain from reading my blog entries is the wisdom that I've learned along the way that has helped me create and live a better life. You can absolutely do the same. You Will Never Be Alone.

We all have those times in life
Where we feel empty and lonely
Deep down inside even though,
On the outside,
We appear the happiest person
Anyone has ever seen.
We feel the need
To mask that loneliness
Because we're scared
That it'll make us look weak,
That it'll make us look unwanted...
We long for belonging.
Hence, it is why when we find
A group of people or that one person,
Who we think at the time,
Care about us,
They're really just the types
To come and go.
My whole life,
I never really fit in
With any kind of crowd.
I used to think
That maybe there was
Something wrong with me.
Then several years passed by,
And I'm at that age now
Where I understand
Why I never really fit in
With the crowds...
I'm different.
I have always been different,
And I always will be different
From everyone.
Loneliness was always
A recurring theme
In my life.
Sometimes it involved a girl,
Sometimes (and now),
It involved a (former) friend.
I now realize
That people do come and go
In your life,
And a lot of the times,
It's not your fault
For them walking out on you,
But sometimes grief and sorrow
Consume you so much
That you feel so tempted
To blame everything
On yourself.
Sometimes loneliness
Can feel like an unrelenting burden,
Following you like a shadow
Behind you everywhere you go.
I still feel it...
But it's okay.
I've learned to cope with it.
Sometimes being alone
Can be a good thing
For spending more time
Doing the things you want to do,
For spending more time
Getting to know you
And who you are as an individual.
But of course
Who wants to be alone
All the time,
All the rest of their life?
Whenever you feel like
No one cares about you,
Whenever you feel like
You can't go on with your life,
Keep finding that one reason
To keep holding on
And to just stay strong.
There will always be
That one person in your life
Who cares about you so much
They'd give their whole world
For you.
Know that you won't ever be alone.
You never will be.
