So nice of you to drop by, thank you so much for doing so! In case you don't happen to know who I am, my name is Mark. I'm a 23-year old who's currently building a life that I want to enjoy for the long term. This blog is designed for young adults who seek guidance and clarity on the problems that life often throws at us. What you will gain from reading my blog entries is the wisdom that I've learned along the way that has helped me create and live a better life. You can absolutely do the same. If you happen to read some of my oldest entries, you will notice how I've changed along the way compared to now.

I want to remind you that we all go through challenges and obstacles. We can't go back and change what happened. All we can do is our best at the end of the day and learn from experience so we don't end up repeating the same mistakes.

If you ever want to message me about anything, feel free to PM me and I will answer back as soon as possible.

Thanks so much for stopping by, have a great day wherever you are in whatever time zone you are in!

You thought the person you had in your life
was everything you ever wanted.

You thought the person you had in your life
would never betray you and be there for you.

You thought the person you had in your life
loved you as much as you loved them,
that you were willing to do whatever it takes
to keep the relationship alive and going.

Then, you happen to find out they ghosted you.

They stopped talking to you.

They stopped answering your calls and texts.

They break up with you without an explanation,
with no decency to say it to your face but instead
over a phone screen with long paragraphs.

You panic and freak out. You start to break down and cry.

You search through every text message, recall
every past moment you shared with that person
to see where things could’ve gone wrong.

But sometimes, there isn’t an explanation.

Sometimes people leave because you were
never a priority in their life to begin with.

If you mattered, they would’ve made the time,
they wouldn’t second guess it, you wouldn’t have
to feel like you’re fighting so hard for their attention,
to feel like you’re fighting so hard for their time.

I want you to know that it’s okay.

It happens to everyone.

However, instead of using apps to find true love,
to find true friends, go to every public place
to attempt to meet potential friends or a potential
love interest and build all of these relationships,
how about building a relationship with yourself?

You spend so much of your time looking for happiness
in the next person you meet that you’re forgetting
to be the kind of person that makes you happy.

Spend some time alone with yourself.

It doesn’t mean you stop caring, that you
build a wall to isolate yourself from everyone.

Being alone means having the opportunity to
find your worth, to find the values you hold dear
to your heart, and to find the very things that make
you come alive. Build yourself up.

Just because you see so many others, whether they
be your peers or complete strangers seem so happy
with the group or the partner they’re with, it doesn’t
mean that all is sunshine and rainbows all the time.

Being surrounded by the wrong crowd, being in a
relationship with the wrong person is the loneliest
thing in the world, and you will feel like you don’t matter
to anyone. You will end up questioning your worth,
causing you to develop a skewed perception of yourself and of life.

Be willing to take the high road.

It’s going to be scary at first but in the long run,
you will thank yourself for doing this.

Be wise enough to wait for the people you deserve
in your life instead of settling for whoever comes your way.

True friends and true love you should never have to chase.
