This might not sound like a big deal to most people, but it is to me. As I've said on this site before, I love Japanese culture, art, architecture, animation, pretty much everything Japanese in general. Well, my aunt got me a bento box for Christmas. I've been reading a LOT for the past few days. I got so many books for Christmas it's a bit overwhelming. I'm also job hunting. It's not easy. Why do jobs have to be so elusive?

My best friend of over 10 years came to town for Christmas and New Year's. She leaves Saturday morning to go back to North Dakota, where she's attending college. It was my first time seeing her since summer, so I was very excited. I spent 2 days at her house, and yesterday she came over here. She just left this evening, but it was a painful goodbye. I love her to death, but with her in college we barely have time to speak anymore. She won't be back until summer.

How did everyone spend their new years eve? Mine was fantastic!

Usually I don't do anything fun for New Year's, but this year was a special exception because I actually had someone to spend it with. I went to Jon's house to spend the day with him, and I stayed until some time after the ball drop.

We watched Hetalia, ate New Years soba noodles, which is a Japanese New Year's tradition, and we played some games and cuddled for god knows how long.
