Happy birthday Pepere (possible grieving trig)

If you were alive today, you would be 92 years old or thereabout.
If you were alive today you'd see me getting into the National Honor Society. You'd be so proud of me. And for medalling fifth in Skills.
You'd be so proud of my sister for raising a beautiful little girl.
You'd probably be proud of a lot of our family.
I was so sad when you started to forget things but deep down I knew that you still remembered some things, it was just trapped within your mind. You remembered me as "The Baby" after all, so maybe there was still some connection. And my aunt said me and my sister were your favorite grandchildren.
Remember the birthday party we threw for you? Your last birthday? Where we didn't have a candle and my mom borrowed one from my teacher. And it was a trick candle? And you laughed so hard and it made you happy.
Maybe the same thing is happening in Heaven now, only you remember it. You know why you're laughing and can enjoy the cake and just be at peace.
