TeenHelp Winter Awards and Volunteer Of The Year 2020. -
December 27th 2020, 04:06 PM
Hello everyone,
I have the pleasure of announcing our Winter Awards this year, which recognise and reward many different kinds of contributions to TeenHelp. We have awards under three categories:
Volunteer Of The Year
Outstanding Contribution
Inspiration
=====
Volunteer Of The Year
I am delighted to issue this year's Volunteer Of The Year Award to Emma (Golfing girl)!
Emma has volunteered with TeenHelp for the last three years as a HelpLINK Mentor. She is regularly active across the site, creating threads in the Support Forums, responding to HelpLINK requests, checking in with others, and overall always willing to help other people.
She has been a thoughtful contributor to TeenHelp, and has devoted an enormous amount of time to guiding, helping and being most kind and compassionate to others.
One user told us, "The day I joined your site, it was Golfing girl who had made me feel welcome. That day onwards I wanted to stay and make home here."
This is exactly the kind of volunteer who makes TeenHelp a strong community. We are truly grateful to be blessed with such a wonderful volunteer as Emma.
Congratulations Emma!
=====
Outstanding Contribution
For our Outstanding Contribution Awards we would like to issue the following:
Sarah (eaty) - This year Sarah has led the launch of the new Chat Room. "Sarah has provided a consistent presence and demonstrated a solution-focused attitude", helping to deal with novel situations and overcome challenges our Staff members have encountered while implementing the new area.
Mallika - Mallika joined at the beginning of the year and very quickly made a positive impact on TeenHelp. Her advice is always very thorough and thoughtful and she is a constant source of support, replying to HelpLINK as well as around the Forums. "Her presence here is very comforting." "Her contributions are well thought out, caring, and show a lot of knowledge with each post she makes."
Jenna (Melancholia.) - Jenna recently made an outstanding contribution by taking the initiative to create a Halloween movie night graphic at the last minute. "Jenna, without prompting, presented a graphic we could use to promote the event on the website and on our social media pages." which we are very grateful for.
=====
Inspiration
For our Inspiration Awards we would like to issue the following:
Lynds (Just Peachy.) - Lynds has recently returned to TeenHelp and in that time it has been clear how inspirational she has been in interacting with other members especially in the Chat Room. She "embodies many of TeenHelp's values, whether it be kindness, patience" and adds much to the community here.
Sarah (Rivière) - Sarah is a regular member who constantly provides support/advice on the Forums, she is "so level-headed and calm in her responses, no matter what the situation may be", which on countless occasions has helped others to find solutions to very challenging problems.
=====
Congratulations to everyone who has received a received an award!

Congratulations award winners everyone awarded is deserving of it.
Resilient
1. (of a person or animal) able to withstand or recover quickly from difficult conditions.
2. (of a substance or object) able to recoil or spring back into shape after bending, stretching, or being compressed.
We all possess resilience, we just need to realize it.

Congrats.
I feel worthless
You get an award just for suggesting stuff? I suggest stuff all the time and do not get an award. I suggested a venting chat room and some other things but nothing was done but when someone else suggests stuff its created instantly , why is that?

Congrats all1
Do you ever get a little bit tired of life
Like you're not really happy but you don't wanna die
Like you're hanging by a thread but you gotta survive
'Cause you gotta survive

What a delightful surprise, a great way to start the new year! I didn't expect this at all! My heartiest congrats to Emma, both Sarah's, Jenna and Lynds! Also, a mighty WELL-DONE to everyone who has contributed positively to the site this year, irrespective of whether you received an award or not
