I'm really sorry to hear things are rough for you right now. I want you to know that you haven't failed us at all. Recovery of self harm isn't about the slip ups along the way, it's all about picking yourself back up again and you can do that! You can beat this again, it won't always be this way. You're worth so much more than self harm and you don't deserve the pain which you are putting yourself through when you do self harm. You're worth so much more. Don't be on your own in this either. People care and people can help, you just need to open up to them and let them know whats going on and ask them for help. You can do this!

I've been trying so long. It hurts so bad, I was so upset Saturday night that all I could do was cry and that lead to physical pain I'm not worth it anymore

Just because we have a slip up doesn't mean we aren't worth it anymore. It's going to happen to the best of us. It's happened to you, it's happened to me, it's happened to everyone on this forum. What matters is what we do after the slip up. Do we throw in the towel and say "well, that's that, I might as well keep on self harming?" Or do we get back up, brush ourselves off, and try again to strive for that self harm free life?

You have to answer this question for yourself. But my hope for you is that you will choose the latter.

stop cutting . just remember that there are better things you can do besides cutting. maybe punching a pillow... watching Taylor swift... or just anything relaxing. maybe even reading a book you love to read would help .

please remember , you never failed anyone. I think i would blame the person who made you feel this bad.. that is the person who has failed us.

You definitely didn't fail us. Everyone slips up when trying to stop cutting, I slip up, you slip up, everyone else that's been in to the point where they're hurting themselves slips up. You definitely aren't alone, it's okay to slip up. You just have to look at as something that happened and then go on telling yourself that you won't let that slip up define how you deal with things, you have to tell yourself that it's okay that you slipped up but that you have to use things other than cutting to cope.
You can try going on walks, listening to music, writing, reading, playing games with other people or on the computer, doing different forms of crafts, like knitting or painting. The list of alternatives is a very long one, I can't think of all of them, but I know you can find alternatives that work for you, it just takes trial and error sometimes, certain things help certain people. Once you find alternatives that help you, use them and if they get to the point where they don't help as much, switch your alternatives.
I know you can do this! Don't give up on quitting!

Have you tried looking at the alternatives and seeing if any of those work for you...I know for me I like getting my roller blades out and music and it distracts me because the alternatives never did...If you ever need to talk you can always PM me

The important thing you have to remember about recovery is that it isn't quite that simple. It's hard and painful, and there's going to be bumps along the way, but the best thing you can do is to stand up and move forward if you've fallen. I'd be surprised if anyone recovered without relapsing.

As others have said already, you haven't failed anyone - and I mean that. Please don't beat yourself up over it. There are lots of alternatives to cutting, some of which are already listed on both the TH website and in this thread. An alternative might work for one person, but might not for another person, so try to persevere and find the one that really works for you.
